This summer, the curtain will rise at the new Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows for the Tenth Anniversary Celebration of the Hartford Symphony's Talcott Mountain Music Festival. The extraordinary gift of music is now ours for generations.

However, to make this facility a true cultural jewel for our region, we still need your help to reach our goal.

While approximately $1.2 million has already been raised for construction, we are seeking to raise another $391,400 so that the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows can be built to its full potential as the architects and planners intended.

This $1.6 million regional performing arts center will not only serve as the summer home for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and its Talcott Mountain Music Festival, it will also host a small number of additional special performances, and serve as an educational/community resource for the region.

The Center is being constructed off Iron Horse Boulevard in Simsbury. A permanent 2,930-square-foot covered stage will sit where a temporary bandshell has been placed for years. A sunken seating area will also be constructed to accommodate tables for 1,400 patrons in front of the stage -- creating a unique musical experience -- while preserving sight lines for the beautiful lawn seating area.

We hope you will consider becoming a Founding Partner of the Performing Arts Center. This charitable contribution will, among other things, help us provide the special amenities that are so important for a concert venue of this size and style.

We are offering a range of Founding Partner Donation Levels, ranging from a Platinum Founding Partner ($5,000) to a Bronze Founding Partner ($500) to a Supporting Partner ($100). Please see our Donor Level sheet that outlines in detail the contribution levels and the associated benefits.

A Founding Partner Response Form is also located on the website - please help us make this Center a reality with the most generous gift you can afford. We hope you will accept this invitation and join us in supporting this exciting and important regional project. Generations will thank you!

Sincerely,

The Campaign Committee

P.S.: Beethoven once said "music can change the world." Your gift to the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows won't change the world but it will enhance the cultural vitality of our community. Your contribution is tax deductible and can be made in annual installments.
